August Wrap Up

August Wrap Up

My wrap up today is going to be short and sweet. August ended up being a really hard month for me. The first week started out alright and I was doing fine. But then the second week into August I got a bunch of bad news that put me into a funk where I didn’t want to do anything. So I thought I would take a couple of days to mope and then get back to business. I ended up taking two weeks off from my blog, instagram and youtube channel. I couldn’t even bring myself to read because I was so upset, I just didn’t want to do anything. The third and fourth week of August I basically spent fixing my computer because it crashed which meant I had to wipe the hard drive and reinstall my OSX while trying to catch up on my blog and book tube channel so I didn’t have much time to read. And I just recently got some more not so great news so August has been a heck of a month.

All of this is to say that I only read 2 books this month. This is the worst reading month I have had this year. All this does is to reinvigorate me and motivate me to tackle more next month.Ā

While this book didn’t blow me away, it was still a good solid read. I really like the idea that the main character’s magic is to break spells and magic. I also don’t quite know where the story is going to go from the ending. While it didn’t blow me away, if you’re a fan of fantasy you should still check this one out. I hope to have my full review up on this book soon.

At the time of my writing and posting this I am still only just over halfway through this book. I will have it finished by the end of the day to make it in the month of August but only just. I don’t want to say too much about this book yet because I feel like it would spoil people who haven’t read the first book. So all I will say is that I am enjoying the story and it is a bit more unexpected than the first book.
