On the first day of Bookmas Christine recommended to me… my December Hopefuls. I cannot believe that it is already December! It is time to start celebrating the holiday season with hot drinks, cozy sweaters, sitting in front of the fireplace and spending time with family and friends. It is also the start of my 12 Days of Bookmas! To get us started with I thought I would tell you guys what I’m hoping to read this month. I’m not planning on too much cause you know how busy it can get this time of year, but I also want to try to catch up to my Goodreads goal. Anyways, let’s jump right in!

The Afterlife of Holly Chase- By: Cynthia Hand

The Afterlife of Holly Chase Book CoverThis book is definitely the right thing to start off the holiday season right. While I’m not a huge fan of A Christmas Carol, this new take on the story sounds hilarious and just what I need. Can you imagine dying on Christmas and then joining Project Scrooge as the new Ghost of Christmas Past? I can’t wait to see what adventure Holly goes on and how this year will be different.

The Nutcracker and the Mouse King & The Tale of the Nutcracker- By: E.T.A. Hoffmann and Alexandre Dumas

Tale of the Nutcracker and the Mouse King CoverBeing a Nutcracker fanatic it is a bit shameful that I’ve never read the source material. This book actually contains two versions of the story. Hoffmann’s work done in 1816 is the original and Dumas’ work was based off of Hoffmann in 1845. I’m excited to see how the two versions are different and be just as captivated as I was seeing the children’s book and taper version when I was young. Have you guys read either of these versions? Do you prefer them or the more modern take?

Frozen II: Forest of Shadows- By: Kamilla Benko

Frozen II Forest of Shadows Book CoverThis middle grade book is supposed to act as a bridge between the end of the first movie and the beginning of the second movie. Now I am cheating a bit because I’ve technically already watched Frozen II. But I don’t think that will mean I will enjoy this book any less. I’ve always wanted a book version so as a reader I could get more insight into Anna and Elsa. I want to know their inner thoughts and look forward to discovering more about them through this book!

Those are the few books that I’m hoping to read in December! If I happen to read more to reach my Goodreads goal, it will be a bonus and if not then I don’t. I’m going to be more focused on celebrating the holidays with my family and going on wintery adventures! What are you guys planning to read in December? Or are you going on any adventures? I’d love to hear about it in the comments below.

The truth is this, when all your conscious and unconcious thoughts are in alignment on any one subject your intention will manifest instantly! Quantum Manifestation Code Review The reason why it seems that time is needed to create and attract what you want is because you still harbour some opposing thoughts, beliefs and feelings. But this is fantastic news! You do not need to be 100% positive, clear and free from negativity to attract your intention. You just need to ensure that the majority of your thoughts are aligned with it! How fantastic is that?
